Class Overview

How does a school or big business manage all of its computers and users on a network? Well, find out by learning to be a network administrator.

Students will be trained to analyze business requirements and to design and implement an infrasturcture for business solutions based on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. This program includes installing, configuring and troubleshooting network systems. Possible career areas are:

  • Systems engineer
  • Technical support engineer
  • Systems analyst
  • Network analyst
  • Technical consultant.

Any student who successfully completes the course and passes the industry-recognized exam will become a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and either a Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) or a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP). Some experienced system analysts have worked their way up to six-figure salaries.
