Class Overview

Is your career interest not mentioned? Then sign up for ICE, which strives to place you in a part-time job in your field of interest. This work/study program includes classroom instruction on employability skills, then sends you to a job site for hands-on training and experience. Employers work closely with ICE supervisors to make this on-the-job training experience the best possible.

Since many high school seniors are ready for the adult world of work and want to gain experience and skills to list on their resume, ICE provides a unique opportunity to graduate with firsthand knowledge about a specific profession.

Classroom instruction includes assessing abilities and skills, recognizing barriers to employment, and exploring career options: learning how to complete an application, interviewing and writing resumes.
