Class Overview

Men or women who plan to live along, marry, have children, eat, pay bills and/or buy products - that's right - everyone! - can benefit from the practical courses offered through the FACS program. FACS classes (some offered on alternate years) in this program include

  • Food chemistry
  • Housing
  • Family studies
  • Child development
  • Apparel and textiles
  • World of work.

Pick a class that fits your occupational plans - elementary teacher, clothes designer, chef, nutritionist, social worker, food chemist, etc. - or just take a class to prepare you for future parenthood. In one class, guys will feel what it is like to be pregnant when they have to wear a 38-pound Empathy Belly strapped around their waist.
