Class Overview

Go ahead, get your hands dirty and enjoy working with plants and animals while preparing for a career in science or agriculture. You will earn vocational credits and fulfill science requirements at the same time. This program integrates animal science and introductory biology concepts activities in aquaculture, traditional farm animals, small animals, ecology, water quality, soil science, air quality, genetics and bacterial studies. The course provides a great first step towards being a:

  • Livestock producer
  • Water-quality monitor
  • Veterinarian
  • Ecologist
  • Conservation officer
  • Biologist.

Students will experience hands-on training in the greenhouse, in the animal barn and at production ponds located at the Ag-Bio Lab property.
